Purpose of Processing
LactoHero processes meal descriptions, portion sizes, known ingredients, voluntary user notes, app version, tablet FCC value, and optionally a device installation ID to provide cautious lactose and FCC estimates for the iOS app.
Data the App May Send to the Backend
The app may transmit text descriptions of meals, photo descriptions, portion information, known ingredients, voluntary notes, locale, app version, tablet FCC value, and optionally a device installation ID. The optional device ID is processed only as a hash for rate limiting.
OpenAI API Key and AI Processing
The OpenAI API key is not stored in the iOS app and is used exclusively on the server as an environment variable. To fulfill the analysis purpose, validated request content may be transmitted to OpenAI. OpenAI processes this data as a technical provider under the applicable contractual and privacy terms.
Storage and Logging
Unless required for operation, full meal texts, images, and sensitive health data should not be stored permanently. In production, logs should contain only technical metadata such as requestId, app version, mode, text length, and rate-limit status.
Hosting
The website and backend are hosted by Vercel. Technical access data such as IP address, time of access, requested route, and user agent may be processed to provide and secure the service.
Legal Bases
Depending on the specific use case, processing may be based on performance of a contract, legitimate interest in secure operation, or consent.
Data Subject Rights
Depending on applicable law, data subjects may request access, rectification, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection. Requests can be sent to info@setupfast.net.
